Lovely spot at the Coconut Market for Thai and Chinese cuisine. Outdoor seating. Fast and attentive service. I had the black pepper chicken that was seasoned wonderfully and my wife had the walnut shrimp. Delicious spring rolls as a starter. If you are staying at Islander or near by they definitely are a must try.
Great vegan options and great service! The owner was so kind and explained all the options that were vegan. The kung pao tofu, spring rolls and lo mein/chow mein was really delicious! The garlic ginger tofu stir fry needed a bit more seasoning but was still very delicious. Vegan options aren't easy to come by in Kauai but this was a great place, so much so that I went twice during my vacation!
Pad Thai dish is like boiled noodle. The noodle doesn’t seem like it was stir fried. The papaya salad is freaking too sweet and the sauce seem like pad Thai sauce. Asked for the papaya salad to be super spicy, but it was nothing spicy at all other than sweet. The pad see ew dish is like Chinese stir fried noodle. Seriously this place is not Thai food at all. Definitely a slap in the face to Thai people. Maybe some people like it. Just not my taste of food especially growing up eating Thai food and from Thailand.
Open air dining that is perfect on a nice day. The Pad Thai noodle was a slightly different style from the usual, but was really good. The Tom Kha was great. Tom Kha was confused with Kung Pow, but they fixed it and made it right. The Thai Tea was good too.
Drunken Noodle with Shrimp was very delicious. Spicy and tasty. A little more portions would have been welcomed for the price. Best Regards
My wife and I came to eat here before exploring the surrounding marketplace. We got the Szechuan green beans with chicken, drunken noodles with beef, and Thai tea.
I usually get meat/rice dishes at Thai restaurants, but we decided to try something different with the green beans and actually enjoyed it a lot! Only a little spicy, and the green beans were firm with good bite to them. The drunken noodles were really good too, although not as spicy as I would have hoped for a 3/5.
As far as seating, we ordered in advance to skip the line and just sat at the outdoor seating next to the restaurant.
For the price, I think the portion sizes were reasonable, and would come here again!
Food didn’t have much flavor. Understand why no one was in line. Shrimp was nothing to desire again. Orange chicken was your typical Chinese chicken. Pot stickers were good.
This place deserves more than 4.1 stars! We stayed at a hotel right across the parking lot and ate here on our first night. It was so delicious that we came 2 more times after. The vegetable stir fry with chicken (make it spicy) and the drunken noodles with chicken were my favorite. My husband liked the kung pao chicken and pot stickers. This place is definitely worth trying and the portions and pricing were excellent. Our favorite place to eat the whole time we were on the island. The guy who works the counter at night is so friendly and helpful answering questions. 10/10 recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
